A Thrilling Bike Journey Of Shashank From Ladakh to Kashmir!
We will let you in on this amazing journey that was set on by Shashank, someone who craved a break from the regularity of his day-to-day life. He took the ultimate bike trip from Manali to Leh and Srinagar. He set on a flight to reach Delhi and was heartily received by the warm weather of the city. To reach Manali, it took him about 12 hours overnight in the comforts of a Volvo bus. In the morning, upon reaching he took a rest at the hotel with his heart filled with the excitement of acquainting his bike.
The time came, Shashank and his mates kickstart the ignition and began their ride to Jispa through Rohtang Pass, in between which they caught the awe-inspiring vistas of one of the most scantily populated yet spectacular regions of the Earth, Lahaul Valley. After riding for about a hundred and forty kilometres, the riders finally reached Jispa for an overnight stay. The very next day, the riders set forth for the mighty Baralacha La Pass standing at the staggering height of 4800 km.
The fourth day arrived and the riders crossed the Baralacha La Pass and were finally awarded the chance to catch a glimpse of the astonishing Suraj Tal, the third-highest lake all over India. After a plethora of pictures and posing, the riders set on to reach the campsite Sarchu for a stay overnight.
Leh, Here We Come!
About 250 km more to set foot on the grounds of Leh, our travellers filled with the exuberance left early in the morning after having a quick breakfast. The sights of waterfalls and thick vegetation of Himachal Pradesh were forgone and a world filled with thousand shades of blue in the sky laying atop naked mountains has been unlocked. After a ride through the 21 Gata Loops, the mystic Pang ground, and Tanglang La mountain pass, the gang arrived in the city of Leh.
If You Want To See More, You Got To Ride More.
And now on the sixth day when they were finally at Leh, the travelers drove through the highest motorable pass in the whole wide world, the Nubra valley to reach Khardung La. One of the many bikers defined it as an out of the world vista, with its white desserts and enormous mountains hanging atop, it indeed was.
After taking in the breathtaking vistas of the Nubra valley, our riders became hungry for more of such beauty so they headed to Shylock valley. The picturesque view of the pristine Shylock river flows along the roads with a million curves and mountains that tower above, making their day. Up until this location, our travelers thought that this was the best view that they would ever witness but little did they know what awaited them.
The Pangong Lake, you must have heard about the beauty of this one from a billion people but no one does justice to the actual scenic beauty of this pristine lake. Shashank along with our other travelers was blessed with the opportunity to witness the authenticity of this lake while a sky full of shimmering stars shone on the placid waters of the lake. The gang shared small tokens of anecdotes while sitting near a bonfire and witnessing a sky full of stars shimmering on the placid waters of Lake Pangong.
Adventure Yet Awaits!
Srinagar was still waiting for our travelers to reach its doorstep but they had a day in between so our travelers headed towards the famous Kargil checkpoint. On their way to which they visited the oldest monastery in the Ladakh region, Lamayuru after which they went to Basgo palace and finally reached Kargil. The Kargil War Memorial brought in a plethora of emotional and patriotic sentiments amongst all our travelers.

At this point, everyone was very exhausted so they decided to head back towards the base point and reach the checkpoint Sonmarg by 8 AM. This required them to wake up in the middle of the night at 2 AM and leave for the checkpoint. The riders reached there on time and were heartily welcomed by picturesque vistas of the incredible Kashmir.
The Scintillating Beauty Of Srinagar!
Drass which is considered to be the second coldest place in the entire world still inhabited by humans was encountered by our travelers on their way to reach Srinagar and witnessed the vistas of the enormous peaks that towered high including the famous Tiger hill. On reaching Srinagar, the visitors started their day with a hot cup of Khawa. The saffron tea which is one of many specialties of Srinagar, our travelers took a toll around the busy streets and bustling bazaars of the city to shop for the same and also the beautiful handlooms that will win your heart away in a single glance.
Since they arrived early, our travelers had the whole day to themselves and decided to visit the famous Dal lake. Their journey was brought to an end with the aromatic fragrance of the saffron tea after which they headed towards the airport with baggage full of memories and joyfulness that will accompany them throughout their life.

Here’s A Little Something More For You!
According to Shashank, the funniest and one of the most memorable moments from the whole journey was when the gang was traveling from Kargil to Srinagar in the middle of the night. The whole crew was filled with a rush of adrenaline flowing down their veins as there were going to be 13 bikes on the roads with zero traffic. Soon, all the excitement became vain as a bunch of high beams of light were pointed from afar, gladly that was just our brave soldiers keeping a check, but the look on the faces of our travelers was worth a watch.
